SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE

I was subdued in a small dark room next to a policeman. When another policeman marched in the room the other policeman attached electric cords onto me,I was terrified because a electrocution could kill me.The policeman started to ask question that i didn't answer, then his assistant pulls the switch that shocks me until i couldn't think which also nearly kills me through cords on my body. The policeman who looks more high ranking was angry since the shock was too powerful.

SECOND HAND SALE

In school we started a fundraising project which was aimed to raise money for people who has a life not as good as ours,so our idea was to sell 2nd hand stuff that we don't need anymore (books, clothes etc.) this was very fun and i enjoyed selling the goods because the money is going to a good place.

PREPARATION.

We prepared by collecting the stuff that we don't need (such as games, books, clothes and etc.) to sell then we had to divide the items to the times that we want to sell it,and then after that we made decorations to make our stall look better such as posters and signs.

HOW DID WE DO ?
In my opinion we did not do to the best to our ability since we had to sale in thursday and friday lunch which was the time the sports games where played, but we raised around 340,000 rp which was still going to go help people that live in the dumps live a better life.

How to minimize poverty

I am not going to use the title "how to stop poverty" since that is nearly impossible since there will always be war, very fast country development, corrupt governments and etc.
but here are a few ways the world can minimize poverty (my opinion)
  • Spread the world (so people could help the people in need)
  • teach people in the impoverished areas of the world important skills such as how to cook, build or farm (so they can get a job with those skills)
  • (before you read this please accept this is my opinion and you must respect it) in populated areas limit the amount of children that a couple could have (please do not judge me
People "spreading the word" to stop poverty

A Binman in Jakarta

Me and my friends have recently watched a documentary about a binman in Jakarta,he works in horrific conditions just to earn a living for himself and his family. His job is at a minimum wage and he usually operates in dangerous conditions without safety equipment .

I knew this was not uncommon in developing countries (such as Indonesia) but seeing it closeup it really sparks a feeling in my heart and that is that if this man was born in countries such as Britain he would probably be living in a flat or apartment like a middle class person, but instead he lives in a small shack that looks like it could break anytime and is infested with animals, this shows that if you are poor from a developing country then you will get poorer and poorer and this made me feel lucky that i live in a decent sized house in the centre of the city. This made me feel very sad because he does not deserve to live like that but also made me feel grateful that I have a good education and still could shape my life.

7r are reading the book "Trash",even though most of us are not finished but some of us got the stories and here it goes for me.

three "dumpsite boys" make a living picking through the mountains of garbage on the outskirts of a large city.
One day, Raphael (one of the kids)  finds something very special and very mysterious. So mysterious that he decides to keep it, even when the city police offer a big reward for its return. That decision brings with it  consequence
s, and soon the dumpsite boys must use all of their  courage to stay ahead of their pursuers. It's up to Raphael, Gardo, and Rat--boys who have no education, no parents, no homes, and no money--to solve the mystery.

How are these characters similar to each other? In what ways are they different? Which character do you most like?

In the book trash there are 3 boys named Raphael, Gardo and Rat they all live in the dumps of a city named Belhala, the boys live in this giant pile of trash nearly their entire life, but one day they found a bag with items that will change their lives and test their friendship and courage...
In this story the 3 main characters are tested to their limits when they find a bag with items that could stop an ongoing crime,so to survive this each of the 3 main characters have some very different roles and skills and these include Gardo being the strong and protective to Raphael and Rat,Raphael is however a good hearted and resilient person and he proves this by not telling the police a word on the status of the bag even though he was being interrogated and last but not least Rat is the crafty person,he was very clever in hiding money and other things and in my opinion he is my favorite
If someone asks me which character is the most similar to me,I would have to say rat because he is sneaky and unpredictable like me yet kind and friendly
